All entrepreneurs alternate between excitement and being nervous: constantly fretting about delays and spending every waking hour focusing on a venture. A successful entrepreneur needs experience of life and knowing and understanding how business operates and understanding some of the pitfalls, can give you an edge of awareness. Susan Eustace, left her job with a pharmaceutical-services company to start up in business, Transmedi, a company that provides an emergency medical record in different languages for people travelling overseas. The record can either be carried as a card or accessed via a website. She has won several awards and European funding from the East Midlands Development Agency to help get her business off the ground. A lot of people are taking chances and deciding to do something different. People realise that you can bring new ideas at any age. “Nobody is likely to retire in the future anyway.
